A while back I ran a poll to see how RF readers generally got their media fix. The poll is now closed and the results are in.
Wolverine promised to bring us an in-depth look at Logan’s past and shed some light on how he came to be the Wolverine. I had the misfortune chance to see it, so I thought I would share it’s pluses and minuses.
Nowadays it seems like cable has become less important than ever. With technologies like Boxee, Hulu, and Netflix, who needs it? So tell me, how do you watch your favorite shows every week?
So it’s not news that content providers have asked Boxee to remove Hulu from its software. This has lead people to try to find alternatives in their home media centers to funnel Hulu into their big screens. Enter Understudy.
This is a sad day for everyone. As of Friday, February 20, 2009, Hulu was removed from Boxee at the request of Hulu’s content partners. I was afraid of something like this happening, but it never seizes to surprise me at how clueless media companies are.
Due to popular demand I thought I would take a few minutes to describe my current situation with Boxee, Front Row, and my HDTV. First off, to answer probably the golden question, no, you can’t install Boxee in Front Row like you can with the Apple TV (at least I’ve never found a way to do this). As it is, I’ve connected my Mac Pro to my HDTV to use it as my media hub for everything using a DVI to HDMI cable. Here is what you’ll need to set up the best possible media experience.
