The numbers speak for themselves; The Hangover is a complete hit, and even though talks of a sequel were held even before it was released, its sequel is now confirmed.

Todd Phillips (Old School):

“We were thinking of sequel ideas when we were shooting, which sounds cocky, but we were doing it more because it was just fun to talk about ideas while hanging out on the set,”

Also, the great news is that all of the characters are returning. Shooting could also begin as early as this spring. Hollywood.com has an exclusive interview with Galifianakis and reports that the sequel might actually take place abroad.
