It’s just hours away, but the speculation doesn’t end. What will be released? Is the new iPhone all that Apple has got under their belt? I don’t think so.

Apple is due for another innovation. Simply releasing another iPhone with a faster processor and a bigger capacity would be ridiculous, and they’d be handing the Palm Pre a win. The phone will have some surprises. I’m hoping for a front-facing camera for video conferencing, but I won’t hold my breath.
Where I think Apple is going to innovate is where we least expect it to. I think a high potential is its next operating system, Snow Leopard. It’s been a while that we’ve heard anything about it, beside the usual developer builds and interface enhancements for some applications. So my money is on OS X.
Another potential is the release of an unknown product. This IS the World Wide DEVELOPERS Conference, but they’ve already gone over iPhone OS 3.0 pretty extensively, leading me to think that this round they’ll be focusing much of their time on the releases. Here are some recent articles about possible things to come out today at 10am (pacific).

I was super stoked for todays announcements. As soon as I get some good news from my tax guy I will be getting myself a new laptop. Definitely excited about the new software and phone. I might have to hang with my 3g for a bit with the new software before I decide to purchase the new one.
