After all that crazyness of Hulu blocking Boxee from accessing it’s video library, Hulu has gone ahead and made their very own desktop application.

This, I’m sure, is directly correlated to the whole mess we all went through a couple of months ago. Hulu finally smartened up and realized that a lot of users are choosing their service over paid programming, and many of them are also using a TV as a secondary display.

The installation is a total breeze. Just drag the icons and you’re done.

First impressions: When first launching the app, Hulu has a video playing off the bat without you wanting it to. So you have to pause it and get to the navigation. So I had the pilot episode of Glee blast my speakers as soon as I launched it. Not happy.

The interface is good. It’s a little complex, but the navigation has a lot of options, so there wasn’t much they could do. I say give it a try and see how you like it. For now, I’m sticking to Rowmote + Boxee, which not only has Hulu, it also has my Netflix.

Download for PC and Mac here.
