House OKs $6.4 Billion To Make Schools Greener

It seems like the theme these days (beside the horrible economy) is going green. Greener cars, greener laws, greener products, and greener buildings. The house has just okayed a bill to give schools across the country $6.4 billion to build and update schools and make them green.

It seems like the theme these days (beside the horrible economy) is going green. Greener cars, greener laws, greener products, and greener buildings. The house has just okayed a bill to give schools across the country $6.4 billion to build and update schools and make them green.


A large number of the schools are in the Gulf Coast due to it’s extremely bad luck with hurricanes. The bill, which passed with a 275-155, is now up to the Senate to pass.
