Thanks for the comment. Yeah I felt weird about the finale because I liked it so much yet it fell so short, in my opinion. I hope that The Plan answers some stuff.

Fellow fan here... I thought you had some good questions and good statements in the review. Some of which I can definitely agree with. In regards to the head six/gaius, I never really thought of them as Angels (even when she claimed to be one) but more along the lines of general agents. To say they were Divine Agents wouldn't quite work as that would imply angel -- but instead they are something more specific, something almost quasi-neutral in regards to good/evil, heaven/hell, God/Devil.

I think your comments towards Hera are correct in that I think the writers made a mild mistake that they didn't see until it was too late. I always thought that Hera, as a hybrid of the two species (Human/Cylon), was shown as important because she was the agent that carried the unique genetics of both of them. Basically, she was the first 'human,' as we know it that we evolved from (The link between homo sapiens, and our ancestors if you will.) The problem is that the writers implied that she died before she could have an offspring -- ergo, Cylons/Colonial Humans and the Hybrid genetic lines are screwed.

WOW!!! Quite a review you have there. I have to agree fully with your criticisms. I liked Galactica in the beginning, when it had the potential for a good sci-fisci-fi show, but after it twisted itself into a fantasy show, it lost me. Then it made another twist and became kind of a pro-religion show. That was SO uncalled for, it made it unredeemable to me. I guess it's a good symbol of the Bush years, in a way. The Bush administration also attempted to replace science with a fantasy ("What global warming? It's just a theory"), and they were also convinced that God had a plan for us, for example. But I digress. There were a few more things that I found unforgivable in this show. For example: How little they used the build up with Kara Thrace or Hara at the very end, which you mentioned too. And then of course, fracking Gaius Baltar, who should have been killed off in season 1. And that pompous idiot of the the producer, at the end of the finale, saying that "good poeple do bad things and bad people do good things". Jeez. Thanks for the Wise Teachings on Life Secrets, Master Zen. He apparently doesn't know that when a character like Gaius, who is a womanizer, a traitor to his people, a terrorist agent, and a manipulator of the masses, does all those bad things on a row, there is no room for "moral ambiguity". He is just plain, old fashioned, BAD. But the writers made him an angel. WOW! Bottom line is: The writers should never be hired again. They must beg in the streets for a long while. Then someone else should write a sequel to Galactica where the cylons come back to earth, find those writers, and beat them up before killing them. That would be a great end, with a post modern twist.

Quite a thorough summary of those black holes in the plot! It's regrettable but necessary to expose those who didn't "Have a Plan"--the writers. Anyone who claims these aren't legitimate discrepancies is being willfully blinded, by a religious zeal mentality in praise of Balactica, and should now join the Church of Scientology, where he/she can practice a cult of uncritical thinking with peers.
