Are you kidding me? They’re remaking this classic? I swear, hollywood must have run out of ideas if now they’re remaking 80’s movies. I actually heard a while back that they were remaking Short Circuit! I mean, to remake a movie that was made 50 years ago to modernize it I sort of understand. But to remake an already modern movie is the most ridiculous thing.

Next thing you know they’ll be remaking The Terminator and Titanic. Oh, and did you guys hear? They’re already remaking The Watchmen!

    Not to mention the making of TWO separate Incredible Hulk movies in a mere FIVE years. Completely insane. This has been going on forever though…(since the studios all got bought out decades ago, at least) there’s a roughly 20-year cycle, between when people watch the shit growing up, and when they’re parents and have kids of their own, hence just the right time to be hit up with some nostalgia/impart the memory to their offspring. This trend feels to me like it really heated up in the early 90’s, what with the remakes of stuff like Addams Family, Fugitive, Cape Fear, 101 Dalmations, etc.
