I recently started using this (free) app, and I was blow away. In short, it allows you to connect to your MobileMe iDisk directly from your phone, but it does oh so much more. Here’s my review.
First of all, it allows you to connect to any number of MobileMe accounts you may have. I don’t actually know if that’s true, I just don’t know the limit. Not only that, you can also connect to any number of MobileMe public folders, so you can easily exchange files with others.
When first launching the app, you get a choice; navigate your iDisks, public iDisk folders, or your iPhone. When navigating an iDisk, you can select files and download them directly to your phone. Not only
that, the app will also allow you to make folders
in order to organize the downloaded files. Keep in mind all downloaded files stay within the app. There is a limited number of file types that MobileFiles will allow you to view, for example PDFs and JPGs are fine, but RTFs are not. If you come across a file that you cannot view, it will simply display the file information (which is editable).
Again, this app is free, though they do have a Pro version which I have not tried. I can’t wait for some updates for some added functionality, like attaching files to an email and viewing more file types.
