I’ve been reading for quite some time about the possibilities of wireless power and it seems like it’s getting even closer to reality. Mojo Mobility is testing a device using their “Near Field Power” technique relying on thin, inexpensive coiled discs to send and receive up to 4 watts of power with 70% efficiency (I think powering a printer takes about 17W).

I hope Apple jumps onboard with this technology for their iPhone and future tablets. This would be badass.
