One of the things Obama pledges to do is improve our Tech infrastructure and improve our broadband connections across the nation. Since Barack Obama is looking around to fill the positions of power surrounding him, he should appoint Apple CEO Steve Jobs as the Secretary of Technology and Digital Information. Of course this position doesn’t exist, but it should considering how the world is moving toward complete digitalization.

Steve Jobs is a genius when it comes to planning ahead and quality control. If he were in office, you can bet your ass that we would have internet speeds faster than Japan. In case you were not aware, the United States trails most western countries when it comes to technology and the internet. Think about it… with Steve Jobs in office we could have:

  • Safe and reliable online voting
  • Cheap, reliable, and competitive internet speeds
  • Unimaginable leaps in science and technology.
  • Low cost, high quality computers due to research developments
  • A more open government where all current issues are available at WhiteHouse.gov and the people can be heard
  • This would probably bleed into public transportation nationwide due to better computers
  • Buildings, farms, and homes would be more energy efficient
That’s my take on things…
